In case your looking for 50 BMG ammo, just saw today Scheels in St Cloud had Hornady 750 gr A-Max on the shelf.

I reload it to my MATCH Quality standards for $3.00 per round. (My cost - even less if once fired brass is considered free.)

There is of course a secondary market among competitive shooters ( re-loaders trading their existing inventory of components between themselves), but if you look at present day cost for each of the components ( minus the 50BMG brass) you are looking at over $5.60 per round. The 50BMG Hornady A-Max cartridge is sourced with brand new Hornady brass ($7.20 apiece on Midway USA), so I'm surprised that they are only $9.00 each nowadays...

Shush, don’t tell any retailers that!

It is slightly less than that even at Sportsmans guide. Been picking some up here and there. Hard round to stockpile.

It would reasonable to factor in: brass cost = $ cost per casing/ # loads per life of casing

A far cry from the old API/APIT linked ammo at .99/round (shipped) when I first brought mine. Ball was even less…
