I recently ran across this YouTube video about the Swiss G150 Präzisionsgewehr anti-material guerilla rifle. The design purpose was to be a resistance rifle made to be as absolutely silent as a rifle can be; they gave it a ginormous suppressor to this end. But what perked my interest was the ammunition: of all possible cartridges they went with a reworked version of the .41 Magnum revolver cartridge, giving it a 409 grain round nosed bullet to keep it subsonic while giving it enough heft to do some damage.

(urgh, with pages taking 90 seconds or longer to load here, I can't figure out how to embed properly)
