The second time there was a SWAT guy in front of me in line and the 2 employees were more interested in BSing with him than allowing me to purchase my ammo, I put it back and left after more than 5 min. I kinda get the "cops only" vibe.

I have never seen the staff at Streicher's treat any customers poorly or intentionally ignore them. That being said they are a store that does specifically cater to law enforcement public safety so....?

The trick is to wait your turn, when you're up; YOU ARE THE CUSTOMER THEY'RE WITH.

I would agree that they typically have pretty good customer service. I have only been disappointed once... Last year I bought an almost new Glock 27, the previous owner put a Trijicon front sight on, but did not do the rear. Anyway, I stopped by Streicher's to have a rear sight put on, only to find out when I get home that the sight was dated five years ago (the front was dated '08). I brought the gun back in the next day... They apologized and put a new front and rear sight on. They took care of the problem, I just thought it was poor that they let it happen in the first place.
