Joe's Sporting Goods has decent ammo prices

Postby rcos on Sun Feb 26, 2012 10:40 pm

I dont generally make it into Joe's on a regular basis but stopped in a couple weeks ago and found them having a sale on ammo; 9mm in my case. I wanted to pick up some target ammo and they had Blazer Brass and Federal at under $11 for a box of 50. I was in the area again tonight and figured id stop in and they were having the same deal for Blazer. I was also able to grab a box (20) of Gold Dot 9mm 124gr for $20. I dont see ammo listed on their site, but for those of you in that area, it may be worth a stop. I would rather give Joe's my money over Walmart.

Yep. I think they have some fairly good prices on ammo.

I keep going in hoping to like them, but they let me down every time. Mostly because they don't have what I'm looking for

I buy all my fishing gear at Joes, love the sales people in that department and the prices are competitive. Gun dept, not so much... Inventory is not handgun or tacticool oriented and used inventory is generally VERY limited.

Ugh. I still have flashbacks of looking at that Browning shotgun that one of their "gunsmiths" worked on. It looked like someone carelessly ground on it with a stone bit mounted in a dremel tool.

I stopped by Joe's yesterday (first time in the store). They has some okay prices on 9mm and .40 S&W, but not on the .45 ACP I was looking for. Their guns are priced just like Gander Mountain and with half the selection.
