Carry Ammo

Where are y'all buying your carry ammo/hollow points?

Looking for Federal HST's or Speer Gold Dots. Anyone know where to find this stuff? Calling around locally as well as looking online as yielded no results...

Specifically looking for 9mm 124g. Thanks much!

I called them this morning and was told they're of of HST and Gold Dots and were told by Federal 6-12 months... Who knows if there's any truth to that.

I see a few options out there using this. http://gunbot.net/index.php?cal=9mm

I bought half a case of HSTs from this guy the day after Sandy Hook. He's got the cheapest prices on HST and GD that I've seen. Order 10+ boxes and the price per box drops by a buck. http://www.prestostore.com/cgi-bin/stor ... 7&ct=63842 . Right now he's cleaned out like everyone else though.

If you do find some 124gr 9mm HSTs and want to trade for a box for 147gr let me know.

Headed to a local gun show in Virginia this past weekend and managed to score the last box of 9mm 124g HST's, $30.

Not a bad price! Considering they are about $0.50 a round pre-panic, I would say you did well. I would also say I am not going to be shooting any of my carry ammo at the range anytime soon.

Yeah they seem to be around $25-$27 online (sold out everywhere) so I thought $30 was fair! I may shoot a mag of them but not more than that, at least until it becomes more readily available.

Nice score these days!

As long as you ran some through the gun already to verify it's fat and happy with the particular ammo you should be fine. The last thing you want to do is hope everything is good with a round that's intended to save your life.

Haven't had a chance to run any of that particular load through it yet. I have 400 rounds of FMJ through it with no malfunctions so i'm sure it'll eat the HP stuff just fine, but i'll certainly give a mag or two a go. Gun is a Glock 26 Gen4.
