That “end of season clearance” you’re referring to, is for clothing and footwear. Has nothing to do with .22 ammo.

Is that Federal Automatch good stuff?

I got in and ordered a box.

My Marlin and I generally like that Federal and CCI stuff. The WInchester bulk stuff is not my cup of tea. I should not have been so quick to pull the trigger the times I was the Winchester stuff for sale.

In my recent experience it is decent. Accuracy is good but it seems to be a hair bigger than most 22. My guns occasionally have trouble extracting the brass, even my 10/22 with a Volquartsen extractor.

Thanks.

On their website it says "its sweet-spot velocity make it perfect for 10/22 actions and other autoloading firearms."

I will have to see how it does in my Marlin 795. The Marlin I have is pretty accurate.

It works well in my 795, groups aren't quite as tight as CCI blazer/mini-mags, but cycles perfectly and shoots way better than anything made by Winchester or Remington.

As of 3:30 this afternoon Rochester Fleetfarm had Winchester 555 packs for $26.49, Remington Golden Bullet 525 packs for $22.79, and Winchester Super X 100 packs for $7.29. Most likely all gone by now.

Probably the wrong thread to post this, but it is .22 LR related. ;)

S&W M&P 15-22, 50 round DRUM. This is the lowest price I have ever seen on these. Use code “HALFOFF” at checkout and buy for $40.00 each plus shipping.

It's out there, I was curious to see what I could find in 90 minutes buzzing around to do some other shopping while complying with single-day purchase limits and ended up with 2 x 100 packs of the Winchester powerpoints between 2 Fleet Farm locations and 1 x 225 pack of the Remington GB's in 2 x Wal-Mart stops on Sunday afternoon. My out of pocket was around $26 plus 90 minutes of my time and $3 worth of gas for 425 rounds of .22 LR...

Palmetto State Armory has a decent selection of rimfire (Federal Automatch / 510 blue box, CCI Standard Velocity) that's a step above bulk but priced below secondary Gunbroker/Armslist sellers without quantity limits, if you need to stock up for a league or don't want to go chasing all over town to end up with a hodgepodge of different ammo.
