SK Standard Plus? I don't know of a Lapua Standard Plus, but SK is a Lapua brand so I assume that's what they mean. $50/500 is a very good price for that ammo, pretty much what it was going for before the apocalypse.

You are right. He wrote Lapua, but in the picture he posted it is SK. Said he had 15,000 left, but that was 2 hours ago. He also seems to get Remington in on a regular basis. Could be because his son works for Brownell's :)

If someone would have told me 10 years ago that I would be paying $.10/round for .22 in just 10 years, I'd laugh uncontrollably.

This particular ammo didn't cost much less than that 10 years ago. How much do you expect to pay for mid-grade target ammo? The same as the bulk crap for plinking?

I believe SK Standard Plus is the exact same ammo as Wolf Match Target. It's 40gr, subsonic, lead, round nose. Either have long been somewhat scarce, and $0.10/ rd (and recently even $0.15+/ rd when really scarce), and that's @ 5k rd case prices.
It's quite accurate in most rifles, and you'll likely spend twice it's price to get more accurate 22lr ammo. Whether that's the ammo you want is up to you, but it's a decent price

Currently being bid on GunBroker:

Target/Match Quality 22LR 1000rds SK & Wolf $159.00

Forgot about Joe's. They have had those CCI packs for a while now. Guy behind the counter said they priced it high so they stick around...

Cabelas seems to be taking the same route. CCI and Remington 50 packs in last week. $3-4 a pack. First .22 I had seen on shelves for over 2 years.

Sad situation, but the only way to keep it away from the hoarders and flippers is to price it high.

As far as actually getting some bulk packs, I know two guys in the last month or so who have managed to get some at Gander on special sales. You have to be there early, but when they say they're having a sale, the tend to have a couple of cases on hand so usually the first wave of guys all get some.

Rich runs a nice little shop there. Prices aren't the best, but for his size I think they are very reasonable. I've never seen gouging from him, and he is definitely lower than Gander.

His son being a sales rep for Brownells has him with product that was difficult to find at times. I try to stop in whenever I'm passing through the area.

I was at the Blaine Gander Mountain this morning by 6:45 am and there were 4 or 5 people in line already. By 8 there were 50 people, but there was 300 boxes of the Federal target grade 325 rnd so everyone in line got two boxes. By 8:30 all were gone and still more people rushing in for them.

There was a guy who was at the Forest lake store got his two boxes there and made it to Blaine in time for two more boxes. So that will tell you why there is still a shortage of .22 ammo.
