300blk 220grain bullets

Price of 220 grain bullets are too high, I have been thinking of buying some poly coated bullets online. Anyone shoot these regularly? Any problems?

I powder coat my cast bullets and they shoot just fine.

Am I correct in assuming that with a 220 grain 30 cal bullet being shot out of a necked up 223 case, this is a subsonic round??

That's it. Works well, $40 for a box of 100.

What poly coated bullets are you looking at?

I see a few options of 220 for $40 or less. Not factoring shipping.

I'm soon to get into the blackout game as I've got a 300BO LaRue on order but I've never bought ammo or looked at any reloading info on them.

$83.15 for 100 loaded rounds here

Palmetto makes some, but I found couple with good reviews. Prices are coming down on loaded rounds as well. I was thinking that the sub rounds will never see 1000fps, and I shoot plenty of hard cast lead through my 45s. Poly coated bullets seem like a good idea, I haven't come across any negatives so far.

I have some Missouri and Leather head. I have had problems with the coating shaving off. I haven't had time to dig into the issue much. I am belling he hell out of the cases so they should be fine. I hope to get them to work for high volume shooting. The SMK's shoot awesome but are a bit spendy for plinking.

I you're looking at .40 for the bullet only then .83 isn't that bad for the whole thing.

You can have samples of mine if you want. I have 220gr and 238gr in coated cast. Just let me know.

I found some LAX ammo prices that are decent. I bought a lot of ammo from LAX ammo for the past few months. Their products are great and won't cost you an arm and a leg. Try their factory and reloads as well they are pretty damn good.

Doesn't matter. Clearly I was looking for bullet tips.

Actually, only two posts (with three links in those two posts) were pimping LAX ammo. The third post was a question about using a Leupold VX-3i on an AR.
