Whether or not AA shells are "premium" really depends on your definition.
I actually think they are a better value shell in that their QC is good, the hull is OK, not high capacity or compression formed anymore, but does hold together for multiple reloads. They use high antimony target shot, but not plated pellets.
Premium target loads are Federal Gold Medal international loads with copper plated shot, especially with the paper hull. Fiocchi makes a similar load as well. Expect to pay quite a bit more for these. IMO, the paper hulls recoil a bit softer.
Remington's hulls are better if you use the STS or Gun club hulls, but the shot is not plated, so as far as it being premium, no (although if they make a plated international load that would be a premium load, but I have never seen that.
