Bullet sticking in Lee factory seating die stem

Never had it happen before. First time was Wednesday.

Loading .30-06 with a 180 gr Nosler Accubond. Lee factory seating die. Getting the depth set and I could feel and then notice that the bullet was sticking and being partially pulled out of the case. Then I had several stick in the stem and get pulled out and stay in the die.

I disassembled the die. Looked like there is a hole up in the stem with a burr that was grabbing the bullet. I drilled out and then polished the center of the stem and it helped. looks like Lee will make a stem custom tailored to a bullet for $8.

I was thinking I could use epoxy and bed a bullet in there to make a custom stem.

There is more wrong with that die, or die set.

The neck tension of the case should hold it to the point of damaging the plastic tip on an accubond.

I'd have lee look at both that die and your resizing die.

This was the first time loading this bullet. I was hoping it was something with how the stem hits the bullet. In googling around it seems I am not alone in this issue.

I might look into a different and better die set.
