Looking for a piece of 1/2" PEX Tubing

Does anyone have a spare/scrap piece of 1/2" PEX tubing lying around. I only need about 5" to 6" piece. Actual pieces are going to be cut to 3/8" long x 4 pieces.

I want to use it for a modification of my case collator, on my Lee Loadmaster Press.

I hate to go buy a 10' piece, if someone has a short piece they aren't using.

Thanks,

Jim

I do. But I'm not located in the metro so that probably doesn't help you.

I believe Menards (and probably Home Depot) sells 4' pieces for quite cheap.

Check with your local plumber, they usually have odd pieces left over after a job.
I got a 2ft piece a couple weeks ago to repair a section that froze during that bad cold spell. He didn't even charge for it, just asked to remember him the next time I had a big job.

Thanks Jim.

I did check places like Menards and Home Depot, and they don't sell just short pieces. At least when looking online.

I need about 30 feet of it IF anyone has some surplus.

Edit: I have a in-floor heating line that severely leaks and I have it blocked off - I want to connect new lines to a radiator to heat my office area of shop, which is where the in-floor leak is at. I figure a small car radiator with a small box fan should transfer plenty of heat into area when connected to the hot water system which is controlled with flow-control valves and gages.

Do they sell individual 10' pcs? I experimented by putting 1 10' piece in my basket online, but at checkout, it automatically changed it to 10, 10' pieces. I only need 4 pieces 3/8" long, for my collator, when I'm loading 9 mm on my Lee Loadmaster. It helps stop, getting upside down cases in the feeder tubes.

Thanks, I'll have to stop in the store. Their online store, doesn't show anything shorter than 10' and then, wants you to buy 10, 10' pieces at checkout.

I think I’d ask just about any plumber (if you know one) if they have a scrap piece. If you only need 5-6 inches, they’d have that floating around in their truck ready to go in the dumpster.

They have different types and ratings of PEX. I know for sure they have 4' pieces of some of them in the store at HD. I bought a couple to do a plumbing project last spring.

Jim, if you want to wait, I'll hook you up.

Doug, they sell 50' rolls for not that much. 30' is a very usable piece for anyone who might have it. You could always try dumpster diving.

Jim,

I have PEX tubing for you, 1/2" diameter, I had to look all over to find it in your favorite DILLON blue but I got it for you.

Jim, did you try a hardware store? They usually sell a variety of tubing cut to your specifications.
