380 reloading

Has anyone reloaded 380 with 115 grain Hollow points? if so how did it work out? I know in my 357 the POI is higher with heavier bullets.

I have done that.

It was a little touchy on what OAL it liked.

Basically, I had lots of zero 9mm 115 gr JHP, so I used them with a load out of Lyman.

Shot well enough in what I tried them in -

Beretta 84

Colt mustang

SIG P230

I don’t recall poi being too out of whack.

Just be careful about too short and work up slow.

I put a hefty crimp on them to make sure they didn’t shorten on feeding.

Only unintentionally while loading 9mm, ha.

Now you are making me want to try this but I think all my brass is loaded right now.

I use Ramshot True Blue and they list the following load:

115 NOSLER JHP
Min - 3.3gr 725fps
Max - 3.8gr 830fps
0.980 COL

That COL is pretty close to the SAMMI max of 0.984.
