The Wal Marts in Maple Grove and Brooklyn Park have empty shelves for the most part. A couple of boxs of 40 at B.P. No rifle, just some shoot gun shells

I've been in 4 or 5 different Walmarts in my travels around the metro and it's the same in all of them. The shelves are bare.

I stoped at Monticello WM and the only handgun ammo they had was in 25 auto.

Thanks for the Monticello heads up as I was headed there Sunday. I was at little falls on friday, and they had a good selection, but no UMC 9. Hutch has a few WWB, less 200rds after I walked through.

The Coon Rapids (near Round Lake Blvd and US Hwy 10) Walmart stays pretty well stocked with 9mm, 40cal, 45cal, 38 special and 357 magnum (that is all that I have looked at). Since I don't buy ammo anymore, I feel it is safe to give away this little secret

in duluth and superior, for the first time, the WWB 100pk ammo is all gone 9mm, 45, ... all of it.. never seen that before..

People are stocking up for fear of Obama [rightfully so!]. Imagine what will happen in Montana if Obama gets his way. I think the entire state would mobilize and head to DC MN is/was the highest sportsman per ca pita in the nation and I don't believe that has changed. That means, the Montana militia will come down I-94 and pick up much need help to take back the second amendment. Texans will flank from the South. Of course, I am just kidding, but my point is that Obama doesn't have a chance in hell of erasing that amendment, so people should quit worrying and quit hording.

So, yes, us gun owners should fear Obama, but I don't think there is a need to stock up and horde ammunition unless we all believe the price is going to continue to rise. I HIGHLY doubt that, as Federal has already caught up on its backlog and with the Iraq war winding down, the price of the related commodities ought to also decrease. Essentially, these companies should being lowering their price in competition and expect profits based on higher volume and lower margin ... this will keep the ammo on the shelves and the price competitive.
