mental deficiency

Postby stonegraham on Fri Nov 06, 2020 8:47 am

Sometimes I get surprised by how brain dead I can be. Last night was a perfect example. Was reloading 44 magnum with 320-grain gas-checked bullets using 19gr of Alliant 2400. First one didn’t look right. Had some slight bulging in the middle. Checked with the chamber of the revolver and it was really tight. Tried again. Same problem. I suspected the gas check was seating too wide in the case. Wondering about the .431 diameter of the bullets. Did some die tweaking, measuring, worrying about the gas check, wondering if lube was needed, etc. Problem just got worse.

Finally my flipping brain kicked into gear. I was over-crimping.

Ruined four cartridges. Geez did I feel stupid!

Been there, done that. Had dies adjusted for 357 Mag with cannelure. Bought some Zero bullets that had a cannelure but only etched in. When the die tried to roll the mouth into the cannelure it wasn't really there and buckled the case a little. Had me wondering for a bit.

Could be a Russia infiltratrator.......the phrasing is a little off.....like English is a second language.

What would be the gain, I wonder.....

Find out where the ammo is, buy it and resell it on gun broker for 5x retail then get it banned and confiscate it to ship it to communist countries.

Is this account some type of bot that is trying to worm its way into gun forums for some reason? Adding to post counts, seeming to ask topical questions, etc., seems like someone wanting to gain a 'reputation' here (and elsewhere). Maybe to someday in the future try to steer things a certain way or to be let into limited access sections of some forums? These days I'm suspicious of almost everything that has a potential political nature...
