Well, just won me 1000 rounds of .45 nickle brass on gunbroker.. $38 plus shipping.. I'll have to get out to bills one of these days and try out the 50 I've already got built.. (starting small to see how they work..)

Thats nothin, Theres 30+ pounds(3000-3500 cases) of 9mm brass in the mail headed in my direction :D I paid only $30 for it too. This stuff wasn't cleaned or anything though.

$38 is a very good price for what you got, I hope to find more deals like the one I just got, gotta hoard all that I can

The great thing about nickled brass at Bill's is you can PICK YOUR BRASS OUT FROM ALL THE OTHER S**T that's on the floor at Bill's. That's why I can't shoot my 45 Super at Bill's - the cases are identical to 45 ACP's, and good luck finding them among 300 - 500 other cases on the floor.

You ever have any problems with nickeled brass cracking near the case mouth faster than regular brass?

I've heard it can be an issue because it is supposedly more brittle, but have never noticed it yet.

I do the same, just sweep up whats around my area, then sort it out at home, I shoot 9mm and .40 so theres a mix, gotta bring a little dust pan with me next time.

I'm just a little confused :? I just finished reading a post that you were concerned about your kids health and then I get to this posting and you are scooping brass off the floor of one of those evil contaminate filled gun ranges and bringing it home by the sack full.

Haven't noticed any yet.. Then again, I've only reloaded a couple nickel .40's so far.. Still sitting in a bag of brass I picked up after that range trip..

I got 45ACP nickel plated brass that has been reloaded so many times....the thing about the 45ACP is that you will loose the case before you wear it out more then likely. Heck I got brass I got in 1988 that has been loaded so many times I could not tell, you. The concern with nickel plated brass is the possible flaking of the plating imbedding on the inside of the die wall and then subsquently scratching the next case......on and on! I always had nickel for 357's and brass for 38's, made for easy seperation......
