What has happened to .45 ACP?

Postby sigsteve on Mon Aug 03, 2009 5:20 am

Has anyone else had luck in finding 45 Auto at either Walmart or Fleet Farm? I've not seen any for almost 2 weeks at the E.P. or Shakopee Walmart.

I was at the Shakopee Walmart the other day and was pleasantly surprised to find they had Winchester Supreme Elite (personal defense) in stock. They had it in 9mm, .40 s&w, and .45 acp.

While I have all of these calibers, I only snagged up a few boxes of the 9mm. I left the rest.
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

Yes, you don't need to be wasting money on premium defense ammo when you're only being attacked by paper targets...

I have not had luck finding 45 anywhere except Bill's. Now it seems to showing up in several places, but it isn't cheap and I refuse to shoot Wolf. Has anyone seen good prices for anything other than Wolf?

The only place I have seen .45 is at Walmart and even then it's been very sporadic. When they do have it there have only been a few boxes on the shelf. The only .45 I have seen on line has been wolf.
