Great hog hunt.

In MO it is against the law for anyone that is armed to NOT shoot a hog on sight. They want them dead and gone. Never got a chance to get one yet though... Maybe someday. I hear they are great eating from those that have got one.

I would bet that they taste pretty ugly, though. Like an old swamp buck, but even more disgusting.

While I understand that these critters have become a menace in many party of the country, I couldn't imagine accepting an invitation to a "pig roast."

Hogs 100 lb and less the meat is awesome! Better than the Store bought drug injected pork.
anything over 100 lbs especially the Boars is nasty. Smells terrible as you cook it. STAY AWAY!

Like anything, they are what they eat, We have hogs on the FiL's land in missouri, we tried to cook two, and there was no way we could even finish cooking them, it smelled like rotten possum five days on the yellow line. They were all from eating the swamp roots and other stuff from the river bottom that taints the meat.

I went here with a group of 12.... http://www.northstargameland.com/ the hogs are farm raised and released into the 40 acre enclosure you hunt in. Generally they release them a week before you show up to hunt. We were able to spot and stalk them with bows. It was a riot! Our guide was carrying a HP in 45acp he finished off a couple of poorly shot hogs for the archery newbs we had on the hunt.

The hogs are all corn fed to they taste amazing! As part of your fee they process the hogs for you including grinding your sausage. $25 per person/per night to stay in there cabins. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for hog hunting close to the cities or looking for a first time hunting experience is a very controlled environment.

Similar to hunting raised pheasants at a game farm I would guess. It works in a pinch but not the same.
Are the pigs they let loose pink?

The one in the pic on the pricing page isn't pink. Too rich for my blood.

I understand people hunt in Game farms. I have no problem with it.
But, I can't see myself getting a picture taken with a "farm raised pig"
