As far as the ought six, might I suggest the marketplace? My one hunting goal this year was to take a deer with that rifle, and I'm beside myself in getting the opportunity to do it. :D you can keep the ought six. ;)

And thanks! Not sure what a 40%er is, but I assume it has something to do with the deer.

Based on DNR statistics, 40% of deer hunters are successful. Hopefully the other 60% won't try occupying butcher shops or something. :D

Yeah, The tree stand was blowing all over the place. I'm sure it wasn't swaying more than a couple of inches, but from my vantage point it felt like a couple of feet. :lol:

Only reason I got out of the tree was to move to a different area. The scrape line that stand is on only has activity at night from what I'm finding. I don't really mind the tree wiggling - I don't hang on aspen/poplar, so it's not like the top is going to snap off with me strapped to it. :)

Grats! I failed on my first ever deer hunt this year. I had a couple of deer that could have been potential candidates, but they were too close. They were coming in too fast! And I wasn't going to take a high-risk shot.

However, I did snap this pic from the Taj maDeer on Saturday afternoon. Gobble Gobble, mFer! I'll see you guys next spring:
