This for me to check my city code and wouldn't you know it. I can not let a fart go outside in Bloomington without violating a code. But it looks like if I could somehow get someone to sign off on my back yard being a "Target Range" it is only a $28 a year license. So for now, no more pellet gun shooting in the back yard.

Is this the trap you have?

At $170, it is an investment to be sure. Seems like it could be a neighborhood investment.

Realizing that I'm somewhat hijacking this thread, sorry Cobb.

Mine is a little smaller than that. I don't have a P/N for it . The box is long gone. The one you list would not be too large. Mine was about $75 if I remember.

Assuming laws in EP are along the same lines I'd opt for the trap & dispose method or call the city and see if their animal control team will take care of it given the disapearance of pets and danger to small children...

dosn't say anything about a nail gun? think it would do the trick after disabling the safety

And to think that some people find hunting cruel. I'd bet, given the choice, this buck would rather have had a bullet through the heart/lungs. This buck was still very alive when the predators were starting to feed which is usually the case.

Probably did at first and that is why all the wounds to his flanks. The pure exhaustion and could not run anymore, that is probably why he finally laid down, he was totally exhausted.

A Coyote will chase a buck for miles? I've seen bucks take off running and not stop for over a miles at a fun run. Idk how fast a coyote can run but i'm surprised a healthy deer couldn't get away.

One of the G5 small game "claw" looking tips would do a lot of harm to a dog sized animal from a hunting bow. It's not a point. ;) Even if you hit a rib or leg, at a minimum it's going to break it. Not leaving a good blood trail, but a very unhappy pooch which won't likely return. Worst case scenario, you'd be out about 15-20 bucks if the arrow and head weren't relocated.

I've found when my neighbors know what I'm up to with my air rifle, they don't care that it's not entirely above board. I'm fortunate - and they don't like raccoons and tree rats any more than I do.

If you know where they "run" (trails they use), you can set up a snare. According to a taxidermist I know, that's the most effective method of yote removal.
