Sigh......
This post has totally gone off track. Seriously guys. Come on.
I dont understand why y'all are arguing a point that well.... is an opinion. I dont have it in my heart to do what some people are ok with. Thats just human nature is it not? Is it so hard to comprehend that a 30 yr old female who has rescued 2 horses and 7 cats in her lifetime does not have it in her heart to use live bait? I get upset if I see road kill. I get really upset when I see people throwing meat away as an animal has given it's life for your nutrients to survive. I value life regardless of the creature. No one should suffer.
So... I have a few points perse that I will stick to. Clean shots only. No questionable ones. I am shooting to lower the overpopulation problem. They are killing all the wildlife and there are too many of them to sustain a healthy balance. They are hungry and mangy and I don't want them to suffer. If I am able to thin the herd, hopefully other wildlife will come back and the coyotes can also have a better life.
I have a expensive electronic call and I am perfectly happy if that is sub-par to live bait. To be perfectly honest, even the electronic call is disturbing to me. That being said, F-ing deal with the fact that some people might not be ok with it regardless of it's effectivity.
NOW......... can we please move on?
How about this....
What caliber do most of you use? I have a 223, a 270 and a 17 at my disposal.
What time do you prefer to hunt? Dark of night, dusk, sunrise, midday?
Do you hunt without snow cover? If so, how do you see anything? If you got a spotlight, how fast can you locate the target and fire? I dont feel Im that fast.
