monopod for ar15

I was just wondering if anyone uses or has tried a monopod for coyote hunting on an ar15. I feel like I am fighting the bipod all the time and maybe a mono would be easier.

Homemade shooting sticks, 3/8" fiberglass electric fence rods from Fleet Farm about $7-8
Have 3 sets in different heights depending on snow no snow sitting on my duff kneeling or sitting on a stool.

If its attached to the rifle its going to be difficult to swing on a close fast moving yote especially if stuck in snow, Shooting sticks just let them fall away and continue your swing. A pair of collapsed shooting sticks makes kinda a monopod

I picked up a telescopic walking stick at chinamart in the camping section. Then I cut a piece of 2" diameter PVC pipe in half, covered it with a leather scrap, and screwed it into the handle. It works great, can be adjusted for any height you'll need, and is a nice walking stick too.

not a fan of the monopod. They work alright. I carried a small telescoping one when I went deer hunting in south dakota. After I awhile I just left it in the truck. IMO its easier to just drop down prone. But obviously if you're huntin yotes you are just sittin so it may work for you to use the monopod. I like the sticks idea. they are a little bit more flexible too, when you start movin that monopod around it can loose its stability pretty quick.

Does your bi-pod pivot? I could see fighting a rigid one.
