I recommend a bow with over seven inches of brace height if you have not shot a more modern bow in a while. Brace height is kinda like barrel length, more is easier to shoot.

I'd definitely agree on the brace height! ... more = better!

Kinda surprised no one else likes the Mission Venture?! ... at the time, I was lookin' at a Hoyt 35 (somethin' 'er other) that they wanted $800 fer! ... and I thought the Mission shot as well, if not better! ... and I was OTD with a Limbdriver and a nice $150 sight ... ready to shoot ... fer less than the bare Hoyt!

Truth be told, I still prefer my Quest! ... I think it's probly a lower-quality bow than the Venture ... but it's a bit longer ... jest seems to shoot a skosh better fer me ... personal preference! ;)

They don't make my Quest no more ... Rogue's probly the closest thing to it ... bit slower ... bit shorter ... not sure if they make it left-handed?!

Both my Quest and my Venture are single-cam's ... if I was to buy 'nother bow, I think I'd stick with that design!

I think you meant to say Mathews... probably used to say Saturn when you meant Chevy. ;)

You should definitely put this bow on your list to try out. Replace the rest with a drop away though. I like my RipCord. :)

I don't know the exact models of diamond so I can't comment on them specifically, but I have liked all the ones I've seen/ held. I would stay away from packages. You're going to want to change the accessories, why pay for them twice. As far as brace height goes, longer usually means easier to shoot and more forgiving. However, 7 is plenty and about what you're typically going to find. Don't beat yourself up just looking for one that's longer.
