A big part of that is "gut shot"

Poor ammo selection + acute lack of skill/judgement = fail

Kinda like the OP is setting himself up for.

The fusion should work equally as well.

Bonded partition??? Also a 62gr 22cal partition??? Please tell us more.

The partitions (as far as I know, and not listed as so on the Nosler site) are not bonded, they actualy pretty much come apart leaving only the rear cavity. I still think they are a good bullet. Weight retention on the 3 that I recovered from deer was about 40%. The whole front cavity was gone.

The Swift A Frame is bonded, a similar design, differant company. But they are not available in 22cal.

Much better. The deer will thank you :D They should save you some leg work, just get a good vital shot and watch out for the sholder. Try and recover a bullet if you can to test the retention %. They might punch through though, my partitions went through the deer then slid down the hide a few inches on the opposite side. You may have have better retention with the fusions.

Ah yes, what terrible judgement on my part.

I should know better than to recognize my own lack of experience and knowledge on the subject, and seek guidance and advice from a community of seasoned hunters. How idiotic of me.

I was harvesting two deer with two shots this weekend, just like last season. Well, almost, since I used a handgun for the doe this year.

Apparently having ones head up their ass works ok deer hunting.....

On a serious note, I hope you try practicing with your hunting ammo next year a little earlier. That would mean KNOWING what your gonna hunt with well before the season starts.
