wet weather gloves

Postby Lumpy on Mon May 29, 2017 8:27 pm

Not too long ago I had occasion to discover how miserable cold wet hands can be. If it's above freezing (but still pretty cold), you're out in the rain and you need the use of your hands, how does one manage? Most winter gloves are designed on the presumption that the water your hands encounter will be frozen, which is definitely not the case in early spring or late fall. Recommendations?

Do a search for light waterproof gloves. I'm sure something will pop up.
I will never apologize for being an American.

Try looking in the fishing department for some gloves, I have some that I use for cold weather fishing that are made from material similar to a scuba wet suit and would probably work but have never used them for anything else.

I have a set of ice armor gloves I use for cold weather fishing. They are water proof and still provide enough dexterity you can function with them on.

I wore these this winter, heck of a deal at $11.95. I don't know that they're totally waterproof but they were plenty good enough for wiping of snow & slush off the car.
