There are no, naturally producing wild prairie dogs in MN. The MN zoo has them, and maybe the town of Fairmont had some.

But there are not wild native prairie dogs in MN. This is laughable.

Cool story bro.

Just like DNR says we have no cougars in our area, but several have pics and my neighbor has a plaster cast he made from his driveway!!

No, the DNR will tell you we don't have resident mountain lions. They will not deny that we get the occasional migrating/random mountain lion passing through. This is easily confirmed by the occasional dead one that turns up on the side of the road or on a trail cam.

A random occurrence does not equal a population.

Sure, one or two jackasses have released a pet prairie dog, and maybe it survived. But, like the piranha caught in the Elk River when I was in high school, that doesn't mean there is a population.

I'm waiting for the local Gator population to grow to a sustainable size. Then I'll feel like I'm back the Fla, hunting them ;)

I too want to hunt Gators, but the local farmers might object to shooting their John Deere Gators.

There's been 2 caught in Brainerd this year... http://www.twincities.com/2016/07/19/second-alligator-found-in-brainerd-lakes-area/

About 50 years ago, one was caught in Lake Phalen (later determined it was taken from Como Zoo)...
...so they're out there...
