Deer hunting licenses

It's too byzantine for my delicate little sparkly mind to comprehend, but...

If I'm hunting on my land in zone 274 near Ortonville, MN, and haven't applied for a lottery permit... am I screwed?

I mean, I can always go to the cabin and shoot about 100 legally, but... I want to shoot Buckzilla!
To the two forum members who have used lines from my posts as their signatures, can't you quote Jesse Ventura or some other great Minnesotan instead of stealing mine? - LePetomane

Lottery = Doe hunting.

You can buy a license to hunt bucks anytime before the season starts in this state. The lottery is for an "antlerless deer tag" which you can use to shoot any deer in that area. The buck licenses are now pretty much universal, except for the 300 zones.

And you can still take as many does as you want in the metro zone.
