Hunting accidents

For those of you that are DNR FAS Instructors, did any of you notice what the number 3 cause of hunting accidents that was listed in the FAS quarterly magazine?

The 3rd most common accident is "Dog Shoots Hunter", which right now is at 12% of the accidents.

Kinda funny and kinda not, but as they point out in the article, the dog hasn't taken a Minnesota DNR Firearm Safety course, as if that is even remotely a factor.

Huh? Is that under the heading of "humor"? WTF, they don't even have opposable thumbs. Let that be a lesson to anyone who would even think of abusing their dog. Personally, I never even let mine handle guns.

As far as you know! Are all your guns locked up whenever there's a dog in the house? :)

Good point.

They could be getting out the old side by side and doing some dry firing at imaginary ducks when you're not around.
