Maybe we will be able to connect. Did you guys say you were going to be up there this weekend, or only the second weekend?

Was working in Atlanta yesterday flew in this morning and made the trek from MPLS to Owatonna to pick up camper then journey to Nickerson. I'm not sure I'll make it through Wednesday at work. Thursday can not come soon enough.

If you went up Hwy 23 on Sunday passing through Askov around noon then I might have seen you go by.

Rifles all sighted in, first time for years that I will not be hunting with a handgun. Deer numbers supposedly down, no doe tag, want to put some extra meat in the freezer, so going with the best firearm to harvest, a rifle.
Have quite a few does and a several small bucks on our trail cams, several small basket racks that I would have no problem taking for meat.

The buck that both my neighbor and I have on our trail cam, neither of us have seen in person, seems to be going down hill quite a bit in the rack department compared to years past.

What appears as a young buck, he should be good in the next year or two if he survives this year.

All packed up, leaving tomorrow morning for Becida, a couple of the in-laws are coming when I am gone to keep my wife company and busy doing whatever.

I would have gone through around 3:30 but that is the route

I do freelance PR work for Nikon and have abused my shoulder with way to amny rifled slugs down range over the last 5 years. Fortunately hunting is a one shot and done deal thus far. Things do happen with scope's once in a while and I am sure Nikon's CS will take good care fo you.
A shame it happened right before the seaosn opens. Feel free to drop me a note if there's something you think I might be able to take care of for you.

bman940 talked to Nikon something came loose in scope was repaired and shock tested scope is on its way back with no charge Very good customer service.
