I've heard of idiots finding a fresh deer kill in the woods and tagging it before the real shooter finds it but never stealing a hanging deer.

Had one taken out of the trailer in the Tobie's parking lot about 12 years ago. We had 7 deer in the trailer - they took one of the cousin's little forkhorns....and no, it didn't just fall off. The straps were tight when we parked, and when we came out after dinner...they were loose and one was gone.

Hinkley is full of thieves and the pine county sherriff's office is incompetent which might explain point 1.

I just can"t use the term "hunter" to someone that would do that. Lots of others come to mind but hunter isn't on the list.
