Thanks for the head's-up, I actually thought it was September 1, thanks for contributing to my further procrastination. :)

I put in for my tag back on the 6th. Never got my tag in the mail.

My kids' free ones came - but not mine.
Nothing to see here. Continue swimming.

• Only successful applicants will be notified.
• Permits are mailed in mid-October. Information about the drawings
and individual applications is not available until after this date.
Applicants may check the DNR website (mndnr.gov) in mid-October
to view results.

The way it is described, everyone that purchases a deer license by September 10th is automatically in the lottery for an antlerless permit. If a person is not interested in an antlerless tag, they should not purchase their license until after September 10th.
HOW TO… Apply for Permits
Note: All hunters who purchase a firearms or muzzleloader license,
and declare a lottery permit area, on or before September 10, 2015, will
be automatically entered into the lottery for an either-sex permit. Those
who do not wish to receive an either-sex permit should purchase their
license after the lottery deadline.

If you are successful, you won't know until mid to late October.

In the past they've mailed the blue printed tag, then followed up with the "Successful" postcard after the drawing date. System is showing I bought a license and was entered into the lottery.

At least some of you have a chance... My zone there are zero anterless. Figure I am gonna buy a multi zone. If I strike out the first two weekends head to western MN farm country and sit on the edge of a corn field for a couple hours.

You might want to reconsider that idea. The season for most of western MN is Nov 7 - 15. Not counting the last Southeast season, Roseau and Grygla are about as far west as you can go and still legally hunt after the 15th, and the zone line makes a dramatic swing to the east once you get to the White Earth Reservation.

I get firearms A season and do SE for the first week and go up north for the second and camp out in the forest. Last year with -10 and 20" of snow
it wasn't hunting as much as survival. I pick the forest zone for the Lottery.

licenses:
• Statewide (A) season licenses are valid in any area that opens November 7.
Hunters are not obligated to stay in any one zone. For example, you can
hunt in deer area 346 (9-day season) opening weekend, move to deer area
235 (9-day season) the second weekend, and finish up your season in 184
(16-day season) on the last weekend.

You have one week to apply for the antlerless lottery, just one week left. :cheerleader2:
