I'm ready, have seen nearly 20 live deer so far this weekend while driving.

And you can get as many as you want with your vehicle.

I've had the honor of doing it that way more times than I care to count. Not only is it expensive to do it that way, it's inconvenient as hell.

Twitchy really started to set in yesterday while I was helping with Public Rifle sight in at Elk River Sportsmen's club. Talking with the public and swapping stories was enough to set my mind in overdrive. Today I finished going through and packing up some gear. The next 3 days of work travel are going to be brutal...

TWITCHY - while working my required hours at OGC, many shooters made me feel twitchy about being in the woods with them.

Shooting at a 12" X 18" target at 200 meters and maybe only putting 2 or 3 out of 20 on paper and calling it good enough for deer, made me twitchy alright, scared more like it, and glad I'm hunting my private land in Wisconsin.

I haven't hunted in several years, but certainly remember the feeling. Longest work week of the year.

Good luck guys! Be safe.
