Gov & LT Gov hunt

You can hear Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan speaking enthusiastically about hunting here:
https://www.cbsnews.com/minnesota/video ... 00-10abd1h

She first heard about pheasant hunting when she became Lieutenant Governor because "Governor Walz was like, 'you have to go out and learn how to do this.' And it is so much fun! I'm so grateful to have this experience and I just want to encourage more women to take up this sport, to get out there...and that is really, I think, a goal of our administration, to get more women, more people of color, more indigenous folk out there...I'm excited to go out and bag a bird!"

Well.....good for her, I think. She says she's going out Oct. 28, 2023.

She means to say that the Indians (aka indigenous folks) don’t hunt or fish? That more of them need to take it up?

I thought they have both some of the highest rates (community wise) and tend to be some of the most successful.

I’m glad the governor and lt governor are for hunting and fishing. It’s good for it to not be political.

Unfortunately, the lt governor wants to make it so by doing the inclusivity crap.

Sheesh, take the W. It won’t kill you to recognize she’s doing a good thing here.

I assume you think poorly of Trump.

Misrepresentations and misinformation are either universally bad or they are not.

I would have been happy with her statement until all the woke diversity crap had to be thrown in. Kind of detracts from the positive message re hunting, doesn’t it?

I’m glad if more folks enjoy the outdoor sports. I don’t care if they are men, women, non-binary, or whatever race.

I also hope that they pay their fair share by buying an appropriate license. Heck, I’d like to see the birdwatchers buying duck, pheasant, and Turkey stamps.

She was born September 22, 1979.

DNR Firearms Safety Certification is required of anyone born after December 31, 1979 to purchase a hunting license in Minnesota.

She does not need one.

While it is not "required" I would contend that everyone "needs" one.

Rather than prevent deer overpopulation by regulated hunting, some would actually prefer to put deer on birth control:

What a strange turn this thread took. Looks like someone has an axe to grind today.
