I haven't seen Larry for years, but had been on a couple of fishing trips with him to the Lake of the Woods several years ago when he still lived in the Mankato area.

As long as you bring it up....................

On one trip to Lake of the Woods, out on the lake in Larry's boat was Larry, Chuck and myself. Well there were these 2 young couples in a boat near us, the guys were fishing hard and the 2 young ladies looked absolutely bored to death. Well Larry thought we should rescue the young ladies from their situation. His plan was for him to quick motor his boat over to theirs, Chuck and I should take on the 2 guys while Larry rescued the young ladies and whisked them away.

Ya right........................

But it was a good conversation when the fishing was slow.

Turns out his grandson, the one who found him, is my next door neighbor. Small world...

I'm thinking the broken pelvis would cause enough pain to mask the cut on his head. Ouch. I thought dehydration took people faster. Isn't there a rule of threes? (3 minutes without air, 3 days without water, 3 weeks without food?)

They just found a lady alive trapped in a car after eight days without water. Though it sounds like she was right on the brink.. her kidney's started to fail.

These two were basically immobile. I think that makes a big difference. Three days for a guy lost in the woods trying to find his way out would be pretty accurate I think.
