Where were ya?

The spider monkey that I intended to borrow became all needy and moody when its owner left and I couldnt get anything done getting out there, that and I had to go install some fly rims on a bro's hoopty.

Match scores just sent to those that gave me their e-mail address. Some "bounced" so I'm still trying those.

Thanks to all.

Corrected results sent.

If you gave me your e-mail address and you didn't get the corrected results, PM me with the correct address. (Three I couldn't decipher! :( )

PLEASE, check the spelling of your name. If it's not right, PM me and I'll correct it in my records, and for subsequent match results.

Again, thanks for coming, and thanks to all who helped! :D

Sure is a good time, I wish it was every week! Did I catch that right that oakdale has an IPSC leauge? I supose I could just look at there website, or call- but this seems more fun.
Last weeks match at bvpistol was awesome, loved the blind course. Next time I won't even shoot the hostage.

The Faribault Rifle & Pistol Club holds IPSC and IDPA summer league matches and the range is probably closer to Farmington than the Oakdale range. Unfortunately, the IPSC and IDPA leagues are done for the year. They start again in May.

MAPSA holds matches one weekend day a month at FR&PC. Held one today. Next MAPSA match, November 27.

Pine Island (PIPS) also holds IPSC matches during the summer. Again, the league just finished for the year.

I will echo CaseyK's comments about this being a great time.
I too would like to learn where one can use a practical range. I realize the outdoor season is winding down, and suspect there is nowhere indoor to practice drawing and shooting.
But, for the outdoor ranges, which ones allow drawing/ shooting?
If I read the webpage correctly, Oakdale's practical range is 'non-public/ members only'. What about other 'metro area'(read: drive to/ shoot for 1-2 hrs/ drive home in a long 1/2 day) ranges?...not just for organized matches, but as an individual shooter, perhaps alone. I live 10 minutes west of OGC, and put my name one waiting list last spring, but it would be good to know what options are out there, as a member or not. Some of the webpages aren't too informative, or easy to navigate; Pine Island looks like an option. I would have shown up there for a match or 2, but for schedule conflicts.
Thanks,
Ed

just getting used to it. First time shooting it cept for standing at the range. Also putting a GIANT mag release button on them is great for reloads not so great after you fire six rounds and drop the mag on the floor with your grip. Still came in decent overall. Just need to be ahead of Benny next time.
