Not the BUG match. It is just too hot for me to spend that long outside in the sun. I normally arrive a little before 3:00 PM for set-up and early shooters. (I sent out an e-mail to all the BUG shooters earlier today.)

I'll be there for the REGULAR IDPA MATCH about 5:00 PM.

Does one have to be a member of IDPA or Faribault gun club to shoot these matches?

How many mags and rounds of ammo are required for the bug match?

You don't have to be a member.

For the bug match you will need 15 rounds of ammo. Three mags would be perfect, but there are no reloads on the clock. You can reload your single mag with 5 rounds.

Now the 15 rounds would be for the bug match only.

If a person plans to shoot the other 3 regular courses of fire they will need a bare minimum of 54 rounds if they don't plan to miss. So realistically 65 to 70 rounds would probably be adequate.

I had planned on shooting the regular courses and just figured a nice round number like two boxes would be adequate but wasn sure about the bug match having never shot one, I never plan on missing but that rarely works out :o Recently purchased a PF9 that as of yet to be fired  Thought the bug match would make for a good excuse  I will worry about POA vs POI latter.

Thanks for the info

Guns still function in the rain, put on some grubby shoes or rubber boots. I have never meet such a die hard group as this bunch. The only thing I know that stops them is lightning. I am actually surprised they don't have a winter league.

Not for the regular matches, and for the BUG matches there's generally a loaner vest available.

I believe tonight is PAM & JEFF'S PORK FEED! It is FREE!

Few of us are champion shooters. We all are champion eaters.

If there is one match to go to each year, this is it!

Now I'm out the door.

I've got the car, that's not the problem. My wife gets off work in Eagan at 8, can you pick her up and take her to visit her mom at the nursing home in Bloomington? I'll PM you directions, thanks a million, man.
