Yup! We'll have a "classroom" session followed by some range noise.

This sucks, I had planned on making all of these. I got the opportunity to take a course that will be three winters. The classes are two nights a week. Hopefully they won't be Tues, Thurs. I can't pass this course up. I will come out of it with four more comp cards. Plus I will be able to work on a lot more kinds of equipment.

With reservations. Since you missed the orientation, you're starting with a handicap. Don't let that stop you, though. We had two new shooters last Thursday, and they did fine. If you decide to come, bring your gun, a safe holster (can you re-holster without two hands?), some mag holders, a minimum of 3 mags. New shooters that don't have a holster can start from low-ready with 1 second added to their time. If you're hesitant about doing it, come out, watch and ask questions.

New shooters (and all others, too) should keep in mind that it's SAFETY FIRST (did I say that loud enough?), then have fun! Both are required!

I have no experience with that type of holster, so I suggest that you don't use it. Yes, you can put the magazines in your pocket, but make sure you can get them out safely. This is for your first match, only.

We discussed the procedures and rules that will be used in the matches. Also, we had a sample stage to demonstrate them.

We use the USPSA rules as a guide (as far as scoring and division limitations go), and their safety rules. Do a search for the USPSA rulebook and browse through it (I can't check for the link right now), them come to a match.

You have to shoot everything weak hand.
