Laser isn't legal, even for open.

I'd just put a piece of tape over it, I doubt anyone would call you on that.

Bottom line here is if someone calls ya on it. I can't imagine that anyone would ... particularly so long as they see no little red dots moving on the targets. But, if they did, I don't see how ya wouldn't be bumped to Open ... particularly from Single-Stack or Production.

If it was me, I wouldn't worry about it.

If I was otherwise worried about it, maybe put on regular grips over the summer? Image

IMO, if it's yer defensive gun, and ya carry/keep it, expecting to use the laser, I'd shoot it in USPSA with the laser ... sign up for Open! Image

Bingo. When shooting last year I didn't see ANY lasers so I didn't think they were allowed....Also didn't know that 'Open' category allowed them....I'll tape it. Sign up in 'Open' and if necessary will remove it.(it is my carry gun)

Those set screws are really tiny and they thread into plastic...

Forecast for Thursday is 80 w/ 20% chance of showers.

Thanks.

If yer signing up for Open, don't tape it ... use it! Image

tape it and sign up for whatever division you should be shooting under.

If there is a problem, refer them to me.

For a weekly match, having something prohibited, but disabled, I don't feel should be an issue. Being a jack*** about someone wanting to shoot their carry gun, however, is.

Ltd-10 is perfectly legitimate division!

... where else do ya expect anyone with an otherwise perfectly suitable Ltd gun, and no seeds, to compete? Image

... hmmm ... we could allow .22's, and call it the "Buckaroo" division! Image

What's the go - no go procedure for weather? check this forum late afternoon?

Dave Dahls forecast:
Today was nearly perfect! Highs in the 70s, sunshine, and light winds. It just doesn't get much better than that! Things are not only going to heat up over the next few days, but it's going moisten up as well. Added humidity always increases our chances for thunderstorms this time of the year and that's going to be the case starting tomorrow. Right now it looks as though showers and thunderstorms will start early in the day, taper off, and then re-develop Thursday night. It appears as though it'll get hot and humid Friday and early Saturday before stronger storms develop late Saturday and Saturday night. Sunday might be wet to start, but now it looks dry and cooler Sunday afternoon.
