Yes, and their ergonomics causes them to shoot into ceilings.

May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

Are IWB kydex holsters allowed, or do they have to be OWB?

If you can holster one-handed, without pointing the gun at yourself to wedge it in, they they are allowed. What's the brand & model?

It's a Fricke Archangel, and while most of those are AIWB, I had mine specially made with a forward cant for traditional 4:00 body position carry. Fear not, I am competent and safe. I've been through several tactical pistol courses as well as the standard MN CCJLE police acadamy. I'd be happy to demonstrate my holstering ability with an empty gun to anyone who evaluates such things.

If I'm not mistaken, that's one of Suarez' holsters. No problem.

Fear not, I am competent and safe.
I'd hate to count how many times I've heard that!

So you've got a nodding acquaintance with holster work! We may put you to work! ;)

One thing that can be an issue with a high cant and more of a SOB placement is that when you reholster you might have the tendency to point the gun behind you a decent amount. While YOU arnt getting muzzled the 40 people crammed into the small bay behind you may be. USPSA says you should not let the gun point at the floor more than 3 feet (10.5.6) behind or its a DQ. Its up to skyrock in this instance, but something to check and consider.

Are there more 1911's or Glock type shooters at these matches? I have never done a match before and I am curious to know if there is an advantage in shooting either one, because lord knows I'll probably need all the advantage I can get with all of these experienced gamers. :D I actually love both platforms, weird huh? Just wanting to know if there is a smaller group of 1911 shooters vs Glock or the exact opposite.

This isn't as easy to count as it seems. While 1911's have their own division (Single-Stack), they can also enter Limited or Open. Glocks, on the other hand, don't have their own division (they're a brand, not a configuration), but they can enter Open, Limited or Production.

By far, the largest divisions are Limited and Production, followed by Single-Stack, Open and Revolver.

Sorry I can't be clearer.

Is aluminum cased ammo allowed (Blazer 9mm), or does it have to be brass?
