I don't see anything in the rules barring my SBR. Am I good to go using it?

I installed the extension kit on my Extrema and put some slugs through it yesterday. I'm a bit concerned with accuracy. At 50yds with the gun rested it was shooting about 12" high and 6" to the left! I may need to hold off until I have a gunsmith put some adjustable flip-up sights on my shotgun for me so I can correct this. I can't see hitting much with slugs the way it is right now unless the range is much closer than 50yds maybe. I have a handful of chokes for this gun so I'm looking at those too as an option - I should have done that before firing slugs through it...

That being said, I'm loving the extension kit! It gave me 9+1 rounds.

Try it without the clamp on. I don't like using one on mine as it changes my point of aim/point of impact too much.

The SCAPSA match is this Sat, March 16. With it being the 1st of the year please arrive early. I need sign up done by 0930. Even better, arrive between 0730 and 0800 to help set up. A couple items to note. Please go to the website and refresh your minds on the rules, both match rules and COLD range rules. All shooters need to help with reset and tear down of the last stage shot at the end of the day. The round count will not be excessive, expect 50 to 60 rounds per gun, no steel core ammo, birdshot only 7 1/2 and 8 shot, have 10 slugs on hand. And as always have some extra ammo on hand in case of a re-shoot, or bring a friend with extra ammo.

See you there
Jay

How bad would things be for me with just two 20-rd rifle mags? Is it worth even shooting?

Wrap up depends on how well we all work together to get through the day. We have designed the stages in an attempt to be finished by hopefully 3.

20 round mags will not cause you any problem.

Bring what you have and you will be fine. The scoring allows for the option of slowing down a little and shooting the target one time in the "A-zone" instead of two rounds anywhere on the target.

MNGunGuy

Wrap up time is very dependant upon how many shooters show up and how hard people are willing to work. If everyone hustles on re-set of targets from shooter to shooter, a lot of time can be saved. If 60 shooters show up and we shoot four stages, we can cut out an hours time at the end of the day by just shaving 15 seconds off of reset for each stage per shooter.

Sorry I was typing slower than Jay.

I am still thinking on going to this, but my batman utility belt is lacking. think I will catch much hell for carrying my shotgun shells in a SAW gunners pouch?
