Come on the stages were fun. It was an IDPA night at the Outlaw USPSA league. 8-)

FYI for people new to the sport:

We had a decent amount of DQ's tonight, since people were not used to shooting with cover. I believe I got muzzled with a open gun at one point that caught on a barrier, and THAT my friends will make you clinch up so hard you **** diamonds. ;)

Pro Tip: Don't crowd the barrier. You don't need to be rubbing up on the thing with your man boobs. You are allowed to step back a foot or so or more(and for the defensive/tac minded people, it still works as cover) even if you are not right up against it. This gives you the advantage of moving across it from side to side without sticking your barrel up your nose, down at your junk, or over to the side where you can muzzle the scorekeeper.

People are getting better from the beginning of the season, it's really neat to watch. Just keep your damn fingers out of the trigger guard when you are reloading or clearing jams. A LOT of you do it or are very close, so don't think it's just the other clowns who have this issue. ;)

If my math is right, I would have taken first place in production had I not hit that one no shoot...and I was about 1/16th of an inch away from being in the Alpha on the intended target. :D

I'm confused. In Production Division the 3rd and 4th place for the division, beat the 1st and 2nd place in overall placing. How the heck does that happen? I know I'm tired and I've had a few PBRs, but seriously. I don't get it.

Place Name Div PF Stage 1 Pct Stage 2 Pct Match Pct Overall
1 **** ***** Prod Minor 76.98 99.22 100.00 15
2 **** ***** Prod Minor 74.45 100.00 99.01 16
3 **** ***** Prod Minor 88.28 85.85 98.82 12
4 **** ***** Prod Minor 94.74 77.41 97.70 11

The division scores are only amongst those competing in that division. The top shooter gets 100%, and everyone else is adjusted accordingly. Overall includes all scores for all divisions, with the number 1 (highest point rate) set at 100% and all others below that. What you're seeing is that comparison against all divisions vs one single division.

I know, it doesn't feel right, but the math checks.

This still doesn't make sense to me. If someone places higher than you in your division, by necessity shouldn't they place higher than you overall as well?

Holy geeze, I placed way better than I thought I would. I was happy with how my new gun ran but I didn't think I shot that well. Those stages were fun, I hadn't shot with cover like that or on the move before. Thanks for letting me try new stuff Mike.

Special thanks to the range officers for being diligent and keeping everyone safe.

You'd think so, but it doesn't work out that way.

I just finished an analysis of the last match, only this time I included the OA Pct Rate, and each stages' OA Pct Rate, and sorted them accordingly. They appear mixed as TH3180 noted. Once you separate by Division, the results are no longer valid for an OA comparison.

Maybe I should remove the OA results from the scoresheet???!!
