So we get to shoot targets in the back of your truck? Sweet! No steel core ammo I bet tho... I assume the back window a giant no-shoot?

Wish I could make it. Out of town all week and I won't have time to sight in my new optic

If you change your mind you can always use my rifle - only Red Dot sights though.

Hello, I met a guy last week who talked to me about the mn 3 gun group matches. I don't remember his name but I think it is Billy. He's a Minneapolis cop and he was very nice and offered to help me get started by borrowing me some stuff and also guide me if I go to the match. I'm going to try to make it to the match on Sunday and would like to talk to him more about it. I am new to shooting a match but not new to firearms (served in the military) and I'm wondering if I should really shoot or just watch on my first time going to a match.

If MPD and running it most likely J. Schmitt or Villy here on the board...... Guessing Villy. And shoot, even if you don't have a bunch of gear. As long as you have a rifle, shotgun and pistol guys will help you get through the match. I would offer to help, but I don't think I'm going to make it. Waiting for a CT scan to come back, but I think I'm about to part ways with my appendix.

To shooter115, I'm sorry to hear about your condition. I hope you get better soon. And thanks for all your help. I think Villy is the guy I'm looking for. I feel stupid for never asking him for his name but all the other cops around him called him Billy which I think now is actually Villy. I sent him a message and I'm excited to hear back from him.

PM replied to Jon. I hope to see you there this Sunday. Remember that although these events are competition based, it's not all competition. Come and have some fun, blast some targets, and be around a bunch of great guys. Take it nice and slow as you build up your confidence and skills.
