While the construction is nearly done on the Short Range, there is a need for TWO workers per day to put in 8 hours of work for 3 days to finish applying the ballistic rubber to the ceiling. This work will qualify for your Service hours, if you already haven't signed up for Range Duty or other activities. If you have already got your hours in, your service would still be appreciated. The bottom line here is that THE SHORT RANGE WILL NOT OPEN UNTIL THIS WORK GETS DONE!! So if you're itching to get out and shoot on this brand new range, where you won't have to stand in the mud anymore, or have it rain or snow on you and your guns while you're shooting, then step up and help make this happen. There will be TEN four foot wide shooting positions with movable target stands, and benches and brass catchers will be added shortly, so it will accommodate nearly DOUBLE the number of shooters as the old muddy "hog wallow".
PM me to schedule your time. There will be slots available starting Tuesday, September 3rd. You will receive training when you show up at the site at 9 AM. Be sure and wear old clothes and bring gloves, as the glue used to hold the tiles up will not wash out of anything. If you have a 3/8" reversible power drill, bring that along. You need to be fit enough to pick up and lift 2 foot square 32 pound rubber tiles to a position at least 1 foot above your head every 7 or 8 minutes.
And in case you haven't been by lately, this is what you get to play in once the rubber goes up:
