For 308? Anyways, the math so far has matched the results up to 200y.
Men may argue forever on what wins their wars, and welter in cons and pros, and seek for the answer at history's doors, but the man with the rifle knows.

Ah, I assumed 5.56. Pay no attention. I know very little about ballistics.

I do wish I could shoot 300 someplace before the match just to confirm my zero/hold over.

We have 6 stages planned for this event, 4 of which will be 3-Gun Nation Classifier Stages. Those Stages are:
    3GN 05-13 Classifier Flying By-2
    3GN 09-13 Classifier Flying By–3
    3GN 12-13 Classifier Crash & Burn Pistol
    3GN 06-13 Classifier Crash & Burn Rifle
Match fee will be $25. If you are a 3-Gun Nation member and want your classifier stage scores submitted, bring an additional $12. This is the 3-Gun Nation fee of $3 per shooter per stage score submitted to them.

One of the other stages will be a 3-gun stage with rifle targets from close proximity to 300 yards out. The other stage will be a shotgun-only jungle run where you will need a minimum of 2 slugs.

Set-up begins at 7:30 AM. Registrations opens at 9 AM. Shooter's Meeting will be at 9:30 AM. Shooting starts at 10 AM.

IMPORTANT

We had a misunderstanding on what the jungle run shotgun stage would be. Please if you have them bring slugs along. As in Jomars above post you will need at least 2. I told you no slugs on Facebook and that was inaccurate.

My apologies

Thanks Jay for correcting that. It was as much my mistake for not letting you know that we will be using slugs.

WOW! I never thought I would ever make this type of announcement, but here it is...

We don't need help with set-up for tomorrow's match.
Ron Westberg and Adam Maxwell set up all but one of the stages today. They would have set up the last but they needed to keep those bays open for the club members until tomorrow. Make sure to give these guys a big thanks.

Registrations opens at 9AM. Shooters' Meeting at 9:30AM. Shooting begins at 10AM. This will be a great match.

I wish we would have had time to practice, oh well.

Given that set up is done. Please still try and get to the range by 0845 so we can get things going full speed.

Thanks Ron and Adam.

I have a couple of things that I'll be bringing up to the match to sell:

This is a notification of what I'll be selling at the match, not something I'm posting for sale over the forum. These are available first come first serve at this match tomorrow.

Will specific distance of various the rifle targets on the long-shoot stage be stated in some fashion or do I need to bring a range finder?

There will be close distance "blast as you run" rifle targets. Then rifle steel targets will be at around 100 and at around 300 yard range. Nothing in between. You will be shooting these targets from two positions: rooftop prop and free-style.

What a great match! Ron is an awesome host. Along with Adam setting it up a day early. You two saved our asses on this hot day. Hope we can have more matches here.

I am a wuss when it comes to the heat, and wow today seriously kicked my ass.

But that being said - I thoroughly enjoyed today's match. To be honest when I first saw 4 of 6 stages being classifiers I wasn't all that excited and was worried it might get repetitive. Couldn't have been further than the truth. Each "similar" classifier presented completely different challenges and I even got to enjoy a few weapon malfunctions tossed in for good measure. I will certainly approach classifier stages differently from now on and not take them for granted. Shotgun -> rifle on one stage is nothing like shotgun -> handgun. It was great practice switching between platforms.

The jungle run was awesome, and not just because of the shade! Adam - you did one hell of a job setting that thing up. You're kinda evil and I kinda hate you for including an 80yd gong, a texas star, poppers, and a bunch of hidden cylinders all in the span of 100 seconds but I wanted to shoot it over and over again.

The long-range rifle stage was my favorite 3 gun stage I've shot since I started in June. Loved the use of all three weapons (especially after the classifiers), the run-n-gun plates for the shotgun, the sorta-hoser pistol targets, and the challenge posed by an (almost-hidden) lollypop as well as the 100-200-300yd cadence from both the rooftop platform and the freestyle with the rifle. Hearing the RO yell "HIT" on a 300yd target that I could barely see was pretty sweet :)

Big thanks to Jay and Jomar for running the match, Ron and Dawn for hosting us at FLSC, Ron and Adam for setting up on Friday, and to everyone on Squad 2 for carrying their weight and helping reset. This was my 3rd 3-gun match and you guys keep making me want to come back for more!
