OGC Short Range Open to Members!!

Postby Seismic Sam on Sat Sep 07, 2013 4:51 am

Yes, the old hog wallow is gone for good! No more standing in the mud, no more standing in the rain and/or snow for you OR your guns!! Please note that the Short Range is for MEMBERS ONLY, unless there is a pistol match like the Glock Match. Also, this is for pistols and 22 rimfire pistol and rifles only!! NO centerfire rifle calibers have ever been allowed on the Short Range, and this INCLUDES .223 pistols. On to the good stuff!!

First and foremost!!

The sound damping due to the rubber tiles is absolutely superb. It was worth every penny and hour of labor put into it, and I was blessed with some absolutely kick-ass OGC member crews who stepped up to the plate to make this happen. EVERY day they found ways to speed up and improve the process, and it was really cool to watch this happen.

This is one of the benches. Upper level to put your guns and ammo on, and lower level for your range bag.

Once again, thanks to the OGC members that made this happen!!!

P.S. You want to get your applications in for next year's waiting list TODAY!! OGC is now the #1 range in Minnesota as far as state of the art bullet containment and safety are concerned!!

I spent about 3 hours on the new and improved short range this morning and I must say it turned out amazing. The rubber works wonders and it really takes the pop/crack out of the gun shots. It was HOT today and I must say having the range as open as it is is a major plus for airflow. I look forward to spending many hours depositing lead into the backstop there!!

Well, while I'm not going to tell you AX7400's name and phone number, those of you at OGC should know that he is a newer member who ALREADY had his service hours in, and STILL showed up on MULTIPLE days to help out and make this range happen. He was the first guy to step up to the plate when I needed help, and he kept coming back and gluing those 32 pound tiles in place. AX7400, if you ever want to shoot my 50GI or any of my 10mm's or my other 50's just give me a call. Ammo is free for you!!

I bet you'd have gotten more volunteers if that had been offered as incentive in the first place...

How do you like my panorama software?? The left and right views and about 5 shots stitched together, and the software is smart enough to reset the F-stops on all the pictures to get them to match.

Great Pictures Sam, i'll have to take some of the rubber on the 100 yard range.

Thank you to all the OGC members who pitched in to make this happen!
