I'm going to try to make it up for some of these. I know Harmon will as well. He has last years single stack trophy on his desk, and never misses an opportunity to point it out to me.

I have only been shooting since March. I know I would not be able to make it to every one. Can a guy come and watch? I would like to meet other people that are intrested in this sport like I am.

Don't you have to shoot every week to be part of it? This is all new to me.

Do we assume this is at the Burnsville Pistol Range?

Ok so now I am waiting on Roger to post the poop so I can see what this is all about. Burnsville Pistol Range is where I have been shooting. Plan on taking off work early Friday and stopping by there on my way home. :D

Is this USPSA? Is it from holster? What's the cost? Does a person need to be USPSA?

'Less they changed somethin', it's almost exactly like USPSA except for 3 things:

1. they have fewer divisions ... Ltd, Open ... IIRC, I got a Single-Stack trophy there a few years back Image

2. the courses may not necessarily jive with the USPSA rulebook

3. there is no USPSA-sanctioned club sponsoring these matches

I'm not sure if/what they do for any kinda orientation ... but, I'll go ahead and provide a link to Oakdale's, here ... so anyone unfamiliar with USPSA can maybe get a better idea ... http://ipsc.krok.us/orient.htm

"Yes", you draw from a holster. Image

I made about 2/3 of these last winter. I can give you more details when I talk with you in the next few days.

If I recall correctly it was $12 to shoot. They'll be two courses of fire set up, 1 in the north bay, the other in the south bay. It's very low key. You'll shoot less than 100 rounds per night. You'll need a holster, pistol, and at least have a clue how to get the gun out of the holster and back in. You should be able to operate the pistol you are using.

Scoring is basic USPSA. You'll be shooting at standard USPSA cardboard targets. No steel, no poppers. Again, it's indoors and fairly confined.

The courses of fire are as creative as one can get in two relatively small indoor shooting bays. Shoot fast, don't miss.
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?
