I'll be in line right behind Macfisto. I promise.

Actually no, I wont. Like Mac said...... Comically long lines for hastily thrown together unscored, boring stages, getting muzzled by some idiot every 8 seconds...... Not this year. Not again. I was really amped for it last year, and boy what a let down.
If you're reading this, there are better than even odds you are a d-bag.

Hiding behind Mac eh? Seems like there'd still be plenty of target showing on either side of him. :rotf:

I think my buds want to go again... If nothing else it may be worth going armed with a camera to capture Tacticlol guns on film

Unless things have changed drastically, you're better off buying a bunch of zombie targets and going to the range.

We will be there again in the vendor area. The people watching was great in the vendor area. I wasn't around the ranges or do any shooting so can't comment on the gun handling. I am surprised none of the cans of Tactical Bacon hit any of the Tactical Goons in their tactical heads when they were tossing them into the tactical crowd.

The event has grown so much... so this year they expanded to cover 2 days so everyone can get to shoot with shorter lines. If you go early in the morning the lines were shorter. Mike and I went to a couple stages with only 10-15 wait time. The afternoon lines we waited 20-30 minutes not bad, I've waited longer than that at other events. Hope you can come out to play and visit the vendors. The prize give away was very nice. You were automatically entered if you shot in the event.
I would like to offer a different prospective...
I thought the stages were very fun to shoot. The stages were ran with every safety precaution in mind, The rifles and shot guns were carried with chamber flags in them so you can clearly see their not loaded.

Glad they're using flags, but I'd rather they enforce muzzle control.

I get extremely ornery (read: NOT fun to be around) if anyone points a muzzle at me, flag or no flag.

Back to being just a guy.
No, not that guy. Or that other one either.

I am going again. It was worth it to destroy one of the 200 yard swinging rifle targets (they had them set up for, since Zombie-hunters all use tacticool ARs these days...) with an iron-sighted M1A.

I was there pretty early, and we missed most of the asshattery through the order in which we did the stages I think.
It turns out that what you have is less important than what you do with it.

Yeah, we seemed to go in exactly the reverse order from you and Geoff, and I'm certain our wait times were much longer than yours. Waited over an hour in one of the rifle stages, and didn't have time to complete more than one pistol stage. The shotgun stages went fast, at least (and were probably the most fun). I'll go this year, but I think I'm going to spectate unless they are scoring this time around. You couldn't even go LOOK at your targets, so what's the point?

Is this a center fire only event, or can you shoot .22LR pistols and rifles - with the exception of shotgun stages (heck, they're just "paper zombies" after all)??

Are all stages offered on each day? Do you have to be in attendance to win prizes (including grand prizes if you've pre-registered)?

Last year they drew tickets out of a big hopper. If nobody spoke up when a number was called, it was on to the next ticket.
