IDPA match 1/13/08

Postby westberg on Mon Jan 14, 2008 12:02 pm

First I want to thank Bob and the rest of the SO's for another well ran match.

I found the three courses of fire very challeging and I realize where I need to do additional work. I like to be challenged with the courses of fire like the "Can YOU end it", head shots at 20 yards. The bad guys won the day on that one with me shooting.............

Anybody else have any thoughts :?:

Ron

edited; I listed wrong name for the course of fire.

I didn't find the 20 yard head shots troublesome. With the two procedural penalties I received on the other two courses, what I found troublesome was following directions. Funny, but that same problem seems to have cursed me ever since kindergarten--I distinctly remember reading it on some of my first report cards: "Does not follow directions well." Must be a self-fulfilling prophecy. Darn teacher who first slapped the label on me and condemned me to a life of being obtuse and difficult...!

(And don't let Westberg fool you--any of you who have ever watched him shoot or watched the scores in IDPA knows he is a great shooter!)
I do not believe in the collective wisdom of individual ignorance.

Ron-

Yes, the COFs were difficult last night. It was a fun night of shooting nonetheless.

I didn't have any major brain farts last night. I was just slow, as usual.
