IDPA Starts Wednesday at Faribault

Postby westhope on Mon May 16, 2011 4:04 pm

IDPA starts Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at the Faribault Rifle & Pistol Club. (See forum calendar.)

Regular IDPA matches start at about 5:30 PM.

I run an optional, additional IDPA Back-Up Gun match ( 3 short 5 round stages) that you can shoot before (start about 4:00 PM) or after the regular IDPA matches.

Warning! The range may be muddy.

Range address is 17624 Lake Ave. Kilkenny, MN if you want to enter it into your GPS.

Range rules say they have to end by 8. Usually only the BUG side match is still wrapping up by then.

Went and had a great time! Fun that is, not necessarily my shooting time :P
Good people, good times. Thanks Cobb for showing me the ropes. :D

Sadly I decided I couldn't afford it this week, all my pennies are going toward the steel shoot in Hutchinson. I spent the evening doing a mandatory online post-bankruptcy financial counseling course. That is as much fun as it sounds.

Maybe next week. What do they pay for blood plasma these days?

First shoot of the year and we had a very good turn out. Was told by Leo that there was over 60 shooters last night, one of the best turn outs ever. But I think we got things to run fairly smoothly and had everything wrapped up before 8 pm, except for the BUG match which is typical.

We had couple new shooters in our squad and everyone did super. As mnmike59 mentioned, I tried to help him out when I was not the squad's acting SO, but you all know how that sometimes goes.

Hope to see more of you next week.

And corrected scores just sent out. Entered a couple scores wrong in the new spreadsheet I created for the BUG scores this year.

A bit wet and muddy, but the shooting, scoring and pasting was very fast. :D
