Forest Lake Sportsmen's Club Shooting Sports

Hi fellow shooters, my name is Dawn and I am a member of the Forest Lake Sportsmen's Club in Forest Lake, MN. I want to invite you to check out our website at http://www.flscmn.com and see the wonderful shooting venues that we have to offer.

We are currently closed to the public for the season.

Stay tuned...Public Shotgun sports leagues will be forming in March 2012 with shooting beginning on April 3rd. Shotgun leagues will shoot Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Public Spring Pistol leagues (Centerfire and Rimfire) begin on April 5th with registration and open shooting 2:30pm to 7pm. Summer and Fall leagues will also be offered. These are fun leagues. Lots of hunting chatter and BSing amongst the shooters. There are some cool and crappy prizes handed out, depending on Range Master Eric's mood. It's a great opportunity to get to know other shooters. Men, women, and youth (accompanied by paying adult) are welcome.

The complete shooting sports schedule will be kept current on our website. You may also contact us at 651-464-9931 or via email at managerflsc@gmail.com.

ABOUT OUR CLUB

Forest Lake Sportsmen’s Club was established over 70 years ago and currently occupies over 100 acres of beautiful wooded areas and open meadows. Memberships are available.

ARCHERY RANGE
FLSC offers two Archery ranges. One range has targets from 10-60 yards that can be shot from the ground or the extra large shooting platform.

The second range is a walk through course that contains 6 elevated shooting platforms offering at least 30 Rhinehart 3-D targets for league and 3-D shoots. No broadheads are allowed.

Members have free access to the Archery Range and 3D Walk-through Range. The only exceptions are during registered shooting events or when the range is closed for improvements.

PISTOL/RIFLE RANGE

Our pistol/rifle range offers 25, 5, 100, 200, 300 and 400 yard sheltered ranges that may be used comfortably in all weather conditions.

FLSC offers Spring, Summer and Fall Pistol Leagues open to members and the public. Youth under 16 shoot free with a paying adult.

With the exception of deer sight-in days in September/October, pistol leagues, and special training events, the rifle range is open to members all year round within the posted shooting hours.

SHOTGUN SPORTS
Our Shotgun range offers one 5-Stand, two Skeet ranges, two 50 target walk-thru Sporting Clays courses, and six Trap ranges.

Members receive reduced rates for all shotgun sports, shot shells, and discount cards. Leagues start in late March and continue until the end of October. The shotgun sports are open to members and the public during this time. With prior approval, shareholders may also use the shotgun range during non-league days by using their personal throwers.

Club rules state that no 50 BMG allowed. However, I used very large exploding targets during Pistol Leagues this year.[Go figure]

Put your chronograph anywhere you want to. [Its your money]

Thank you Eric Marleau for replying to shooter inquiries. Eric is our "Go To" range master for Pistol League. He is an NRA Certified Firearms Instructor and Range Officer. As Eric stated "Club rules state that no 50 BMG allowed. Put your chronograph anywhere you want to."
Kind Regards,
Dawn
