GSSF @ Oakdale this weekend?

Postby Mn01r6 on Mon Jul 15, 2013 1:00 pm

I was just wondering if this event is still happening with the range closures? What time should I show up and what time can I expect to be done?

Go to http://www.gssfonline.com for general info about the match, prices and such.

As for the match at OGC, you can either enter on-line (at above - and since it's close, print a copy of your entry form just in case), or as a walk-in. The match consists of three stages. All can be shot on one day, or you can split them between two days if you're "time challenged."

I'll be there! ;)

I'll be going Sunday. See you there.

Oakdale Gun Club will have ammo available for sale in 9mm, .40 S&W and .45 ACP, but only for people shooting the Glock match.

So...3 stages of USPSA at OGC takes 2.5 or 3 hours. Should I expect to spend the same amount of time for GSSF or more?

It depends...
If the waiting lines are short, then less time. It can be longer. The reps from Glock predict we'll have about 340+ shooters for this match (a record).

The earlier you show up the faster you'll be able to shoot. IIRC a couple years ago when I worked it, guys that shot first thing saturday morning finished in about an hour. By mid afternoon it was up to half hour wait for one stage.

There were a lot of shooters and it took a while, but I had a lot of fun. A (somewhat) wise man told me not to get a 34 back in the BPR winter league and I should have listened. I shot my 19 better (as I usually do) and I am thinking about going back to it for USPSA.
